Adult day care is a planned programme of activities designed to promote well-being through social and health related services. Adult day care centres operate during daytime hours, Monday through Friday in a safe, supportive, cheerful environment.
For the participant adult day care benefits can be extensive:
Day-care provides older adults an opportunity to get out of the house and receive both mental and social stimulation. It gives care givers a much need break in which to attend to personal needs, or simply rest and relax. Day-care also provides an opportunity to access medical professionals.

Day Care Centre aims to assist service users who have difficulty with transport
needs to and from the Centre by arranging and providing transport.
Our aim is to ensure that the transport service we provide meets the needs and expectations of our service users in a safe, effective and efficient manner.
Castleisland Day Care Centre encourages, where possible, family members and clients themselves to take an active role by providing their own transport to and from the Centre
Prior to using our transport service users are assessed for suitability and needs and thereafter on an on-going basis.
Requests for transport are assessed on seat availability, designated routes and needs of service user.
Castleisland Day Care Centre endeavours to have a trained passenger assistant on our bus route.
We do not have a passenger assistant on our car routes and family should be aware of this.
